How to create a public link for an App?

A Public link is a dedicated URL which can be used to share a specific Table or App in your jestor. This means that even non-users can see the information and help update your tables following the rules you set up, such as powers to view or edit data and which field will be included in the public view.

To create a Public link, just follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the table you wish to create a Public link from and click on the Access Control icon:

  2. Click on “Create Public link” on the panel.

  3. Then click on Finish and your Public link will be created. Now you just have to share the URL :man_mage:

Obrigado

Hey there @iurirb! We talked about using public links today in our livestream, and I think it would be helpful for you at around 7:55 here on YouTube: SOC 2 Type 1, Record View Component, Car Rental and Advertising Form | Live #3 - YouTube (I’d highly suggest it in fact!)

Additionally showing how to do it at around 24:26 in the same livestream video.

In your case, it might be better to add a user and have them with restricted profiles and have them use it upon login, instead of making it public. This would allow you to know which user specifically added the record, made adjustments, etc, while avoiding any particular risk for exposing data you would otherwise not want to share.

We allow for unlimited users to hopefully incentivize you to scale without compromising access and while keeping your data under control.

We talked recently about the launch of Roles (Beta) / Profiles / Access Levels in the UI at about 1:54 here:

And if you needed even greater control, you can use profiles in the low-code: Profiles and Access Levels
